Empty Freezers

We finally went shopping today and restocked the cupboards at home.

Well, I say "we", but in fact the Wonderspouse does most of the shopping - I just amble round the supermarket getting lost from time to time and picking up random things that take my fancy while he has the list and buys all the real food! My only significant contributions to the whole enterprise are paying for the stuff and driving it home in the car!

However, if we'd hoped for frozen "Hot desserts" or "Party food" we'd have been out of luck since this whole row of freezers was totally empty.

What was most amusing though was that shortly before I took this picture a young couple spent several minutes standing in front of these freezers, pointing at them and discussing. I enjoyed imagining the conversation:

"Shall we get one of those portions of fresh air dear"
"No, no, let's get that other one, it's only £2.00"
"Oh, OK then, and we might as well get 3 since they're on offer"
"They'll be great for the party, very slimming!"
"Wonderful, can't beat a bit of nothingness"

In the end they wondered off, empty handed!
