Protea neriifolia

Finally after almost three weeks our flower opened - though it seems that that's (at least) partly because of oldness.

The guy in the shop said that this is Protea, the national flower of South-Africa, but now that I checked wikipedia I noticed that there dozens of different species of Proteas and they look very different.

Looks like this probably is Protea neriifolia - if you check google there are a lot of different beautiful Proteas.
