Le Grand Depart - day 2

Another amazing day!
I set off at 6.30am sur la bicyclette and joined the tour route at Addingham. All the roads were closed to traffic and there was a tremendous joy to be riding on empty roads with other cyclists and being cheered on by spectators gathering by the roadside. There was such a good natured carnival atmosphere, I was carried away by it all and didn't stop to take any pictures. At Huddersfield I had planned to take the train back, but decided to cycle back to Bradford and watched the Tour on the big screen by the Millenium Pool.
The whole event brought so much pleasure to so many people. Yorkshire pulled out all the stops!!
