A Viking

Reenactor. The museum in Thurso is having a 'Year of Ancient Ancestors'. Part of the programme is having the Glasgow Vikings up for a week. There's various displays and activities going on, including skirmishes, craft workshops, best beard competition, all sorts of things.

This chap is working on temporary leather fittings for his drinking horn. He happened to look up just as I took the photo.

And yes, the walls are really that orange.
