The Village Chippy

We don't have a nearby fish and chip shop - so once a week on a Thursday night we have a mobile one visit our village.

It arrives about 4 p.m. and parks first of all about 100 metres from our house. It has chime like an ice cream van - and plays the the theme from 'When The Boat Comes In'.

Around 6 o'clock it moves on to the centre of the village and parks outside the pub in the village square. It does a roaring trade - especially from the pub.

I went to collect tea around 7 this evening and whilst waiting I snapped the van.
