Doe (a Deer)

We are blessed (or cursed, depending on your point of view) with our own personal mini-herd of deer at the moment. This doe was in the yard, just behind the house. I practiced my techniques for approaching animals on her - don't walk directly towards the animal, don't look at it, don't smile - and it worked very well. I've never got so close before, and she was quite happily munching away at the vegetation while I was snapping pictures. Her face is lit by the last rays of the evening sun.
