Hideous orange alien has landed

Did I speak too soon in welcoming the clearance of the Selfridge's site-that-never-was at Candleriggs between Wilson St and Trongate? A giant orange alien monstrosity has arrived on a newly tarmac'd area at the Wilson St end. I know Barr's are CG2014 sponsors so let's hope this monstrosity takes flight again as soon as the Games are over :-(
