Before the devil knows you're dead...

We went to visit family in Wexford, and while the lads headed off to play golf, Mum and I took a drive round Hook Head. After visiting the fort and strand at Duncannon, we stopped at Loftus Hall, "Ireland's most haunted house".

Mum stayed in the car, as she didn't fancy the scares on the tour, but I went around as part of a group. I was even chosen to take part in a reconstruction of the night the devil was discovered to be in residence. The place is worth a visit - we had a great guide and the house had a fascinating history, from the role of Cromwell (whose arrival gives us the term 'by hook or by crook') to the ongoing renovation.
