Fizzy round the edges
Last day if conference today.
The first key note speaker was theEducation Minister Hekia Parata. Now I'm not a fan of the governments approach to education and Hekia can be a challenging person but I was quite impressed today with how she spoke. She is knowledgable and today was humourous and approachable (not always the case)Still by day 3 I am buggered and my mind started wandering. I saw the distorted image of a fern frond through the bottom of my glass and toon some photos. Quite liked them :) and so am blipping one.
The second speaker was bloody amazing and got a standing ovation. Marcus Akuhata-Brown is a Maori lad from the east coast of the North Island (Gisborne) he talked about being a boy with low expectations but about how he ended up meeting the Queen, going to the UN etc.
Very moving, made me cry
