Misty Travels

Today's working day took me to our Kawerau store.

When I left home in the dark this morning, the stars had only just disappeared and my travels took me around the many shores of a number of lakes.

The twists and turns and round corners, took me into what at times felt like I was going into Tuhoe country, as a child of the mist. The hills were very foggy and the road very dark and wet.

The rain has not cleared at all and I lmost need water wings. Had spied a boat in the water at Rotoma and that was going to be my blip for today.

Saw this scene on the way home and was attracted to the clouds to the left of the image. So did a u turn and parked up with my hazard lights on.

Had a friend / ex work mate do a u turn as well not long after Id climbed back into the car to make sure I was ok and had not broken down. What a nice young man he is.

Off to dinner with friends tonight (or should I say to have a wine or two) and natter the night away.
