Noosa Marina

After a late start this morning, we headed out to Noosa with the intention of the boys going camel riding along the beach. It never eventuated though as first of all Noosa was crowded and we couldn't find a car park to go to the information centre to book the rides and secondly we didn't know which direction to go in to get to the camels. So unfortunately we had to give up on that idea.

Instead we decided to head back to Mooloolaba. On our way, we called into the Noosa Marina, and saw two big pelicans. Unfortunately I only had my phone with me, so could only take a photo with it. You may have to enlarge this photo to actually see these beautiful birds.

We had a rest when we returned to our apartment, and then decided at 2.30pm to head down town and have some lunch. Beer battered fresh snapper and salad - it was delicious!

It's been yet another gorgeous day. The weather here is superb. If I was nearing retirement age, I think I would seriously be thinking of buying an apartment to spend my winters here in the warm, and my summers in NZ. Of course that would depend on if I could afford an apartment.... Dreams are free.
