'Old Friends'

Today would have been the 69th Birthday of a very dear friend who sadly died tragically 13 years ago. We joined the Army together in the early sixties and became HGV drivers in the Royal Corp of Transport. A Devon girl like myself,,,one of the kindest sweetest people I have ever known...I never stop missing her.

This 'Day Lily' literally only lasts a day but I love the vibrancy of the colour and it somehow reminds me of my friend .... fleeting, but beautiful.
