Maths Cup!

Poppy won the Maths Cup at school today. To say she was surprised would be a bit of an understatement! She was given it for working really hard and making great progress since Easter. Well done Popster xx

An early start to the day when we were woken up just after 5am to a loud cracking noise, I was not sure where it was coming from but tried to ignore it and go back to sleep. Nope not a chance, crack, crack, crack. It got a bit louder and sounded like it was coming from the garden somewhere.. I then realised it was probably a tree so went to the window just in time to see a huge great tree come down in next doors garden.. Right across their very expensive lawn. What a mess, it must be even more annoying for them as they have just sold their house! This reminded me that I need to ask them to mend the fence from the last time one of their trees came down. At least this time it was not in our garden!

I've been working from home today, waiting for most of our new bathroom to be delivered. It was supposedly coming first thing but it seems the driver decided it was a bit busy and so did not come down the lane. It is now 4pm and they have still not turned up. Feckless fools.

However the stuff to mend the tractor has turned up so that is something and the plasterers are turning up at 8am tomorrow!
