Studland, Dorset: the Pig (ex Manor House Hotel)

If you are based in the UK, you may recall a BBC TV documentary series about a decade ago on the National Trust, in which Studland's Manor House Hotel and its proprietors played a prominent role.

This year, under new management, the property has been a large, busy building site. It is now restyled, part of that process being the use of Habsburg yellow on the rendering of the buildings. No risk of it blending with the landscape.

The Pig is now open for business, and with a delightful lack of precision styles itself as "on the beach".
