Awaiting new tenants

The gift of a bird nesting box brought by my son C from the UK ( refer blip of 5 May ), has now been placed in a tree in the garden.

I modified it a bit by enlarging the entrance hole slightly, and covering the hole with part of an old nesting log in which I drilled a small pilot hole. It is anticipated that the barbets who nest in our garden will start opening up the pilot hole to gain access to the nest box.

The enclosed videocam is working well, and we now wait anxiously for the nesting process to begin.
