A View Of The Lakes

Our last day here in Valle De Abdalajis. This morning we drove up a very quiet and beautiful mountain road to the lakes that lie beyond the gorge at El Chorro. We managed to take the wrong road at one point and were alarmed to find that it suddenly and quite literally disappeared in front of us: there'd been a landslide and all that separated us from a precipitous drop was a flimsy piece of red plastic fencing.

A sharp 3 point turn soon had as back on safer ground and we were rewarded with some lovely views across blue water, including this one from the restaurant while we were enjoying a mixed paella.

Late afternoon has seen us making a final use of the pool and scenery back at the villa. Tomorrow we're heading back to our original base in Murcia for a few days.
