Shrubhill House
This is quite possibly the most blipped building on Leith Walk. A blipfoto ritual almost, a bit like how whenever you get the train to London you've got to blip King's Cross.
Shrubhill House - or, to be more accurate, the remains of Shrubhill House - isn't just ugly; it's menacingly ugly. An empty shell resembling hell. It used - I think - to be where the City of Edinburgh Social Work Department was based.
When I walked past it this afternoon the sun was splitting the paving stones. That took the edge off the menace. But I wouldn't want to spend the night in there.
