Farewell Avro Vulcan XH558

Today saw a Vulcan B2 take off from RAF Waddington for probably the last time. She was delivered to the base from Woodford in 1960. 54 years later she leapt into the sky from her traditional home observed by a large crowd of her admirers. In 2015 her last set of Rolls Royce Bristol Olympus engines finally run out of flying hours. RAF Waddington's runway is being replaced during 2015 meaning she will not return to her home again
