Magnetic dog? No just a collar

Scooby, my 12 year old border collie cross has arthritis in one of his front legs which although on medication must still be painful as it has really slowed him down and he doesn't enjoy his walks like he used to.

Someone suggested to me that we try him with a magnetic collar as they can be really effective and with animals it can't be psychosomatic or power of suggestion.
He's only been wearing it a couple of days so I'll keep you posted but let's hope it helps him as in his head he still thinks he's a 6 year old.
