Marcel Mousseau

Marcel was raised on the Ebb and Flow Indian Reservation in the city of Winnipeg. Marcel sees his art as a way to preserve his culture and traditional teachings. For him, art is a healing tool which allows one's inner wisdom, strength and courage.

The words above were taken from a little photocopy in the back of the picture Marcel is holding and I bought for $5 Canadian, in Gas Town, Vancouver as I can across him and his artwork in a street jumble sale.

He was a character and I'm glad to have met him.
