Pigeon hospital

A terrible photograph, a poorly pigeon, a young one badly mauled by a cat. India found one of my neighbours with it and pronouncing it dead was throwing it in the recesses of the compost heap. She brought it back, in a terrible state, went off to the vets and brought him back with antibiotics. 'Touchwood' against all odds he seems to be perking up a bit. The past three days have turned our house into animal hospital. What with injured birds, chicks falling out of nests and chicks being pushed by their older and bigger siblings. They nearly always die but I hope 'Buffy' (yes Buffy) survives.
