A glimpse of what was

This is a view from the Tarka Trail between Braunton and Barnstaple, looking towards Barnstaple over the duel carriageway (which you can't see in this shot but I could hear).

It doesn't really look like this anymore. And yet it does.

We cycled to Barnstaple and back in fairly good time and I worked my legs more than I have done for years.
