B.A.C.K. to Basics

Fun

The kids have grown out of their four-wheeler... in speaking with Kaylee, it was decided that a two-seater of some sort would be of more interest to her.

In searching the web, BJ and I discussed the pro's and con's of getting the kids a go-kart. My must haves were a roll cage, seatbelts and a governor switch. I wanted it to be big enough for them to grow into, but small enough for them to drive and maintain control.

This was the answer. We sold the four wheeler last week and had been looking for this model/style go kart. Craigslist was helpful, but offered items in southern Maine and NH. It was only last night that BJ did his normal search online and this one popped up, in Madison! He quickly called and secured a showing for this afternoon.

This machine was well cared for, always garaged, greased and mechanically maintained. It has all the required safety mechanisms, and it's just the right size for the kids. Colby and I took it for a quick spin, then it was BJ's turn. Kaylee is missing out on the fun tonight, as she chose to stay at Meme's - I don't blame her, Emelia, Bob and Christine are home and she's having a sleepover with them.

It was a fun day - hugging and playing with Emelia, watching Fletcher and Mace become acquainted, and laughing with Bob and Christine.

All-in-all, a great day. Can't wait for the fun to continue this weekend :)
