TGIF
After my short week and long weekend last week I feel like I've been waiting on Friday for ages.
Found a nice new lunch place and then a nice new dinner place today though. The lunch spot was just next to the Trump Soho. It's such a nice public space with tables, chairs and benches. And it's peaceful. I've seen it lots before but never considered it for lunch. Turns out it was perfect.
For dinner we went down to meet Aisha where she works near Wall Street. I haven't spent much time down there but we ended up on Stone Street (the photo) where there was a mass of restaurants and bars with tables coating the street. It felt quite European with everyone spilling into the street.
On the walk home we spotted a totally bizarre view with the Hudson covered in thick black fog. So much so that there was no sign of the buildings or light pollution from New York behind it, just the Freedom Tower poking over the top. We couldn't get our heads round it. Unfortunately my camera didn't pick it up too well but I did post a photo to Instagram.
