TdF Stage 6: Chemin des Dames

Today the tour travels through northern France past some of the most famous First World War memorials. Part of the route is along the road that saw some of the worst fighting, the Chemin Des Dames.

I have walked some of it and you can still see relics of gun emplacements and stacks of live shells that farmers have dug up in the fields.

These two bikes in French khaki seem appropriate for today.
