No to Transatlantic Trade Investment Partnership
A group of activists including members of the Green Party, Norfolk People's Assembly, Norwich Quakers and others did a banner drop this lunchtime above one of the busy Norwich roads. It was amazing how many cars hooted in support.
After the banner drop a public meeting was being held at Friends Meeting House to discuss the TTIP. I didn't attend as I'm up to my neck preparing for an exhibition which is being set up next weekend, on the Sunday.
Only one vehicle was occupied by people who expressed disdain for the action. One of the occupants made the 'wankers' gesture. Which was a bit daft, if you ask me, when travelling in an open topped car towards (and under) a bridge. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) none of the activists were particularly skilled at gobbing. As one of them said: 'I daren't chance it as my false teeth may fly out' ;-)
You can read about the TTIP here.
