Overtime

Whenever I've played in a game or completed a race, I've always known how long I was to compete for. A time limit or a determined distance was set. You plan for that mentally and steel yourself for what you are asking your body to do. The camino is no different. Santiago was always the goal, but somehow along the way finnestere and Murcia were added on. Today was the second "add-on" and somehow my feelings about walking have changed. Granted my steps may have felt heavier today in part due to the festival which eased up around 5:30 am with the closing tune of "living in a prayer", but I am done. Seriously, done with walking. I will continue on to finnestere tomorrow, to see what was long believed to be the end of the world, but that is where my journey will end. I have already achieved my goal; both my mind and my body seem to know this. Now it is time to listen.
