At the market

It was Farmers' Market again today but the number of stalls continues to decline.

When the market started 13 years ago it was immensely popular, with people travelling from surrounding towns and villages to shop there. But increasing competition and reduced popularity of these markets means that there are fewer customers. We had a long meeting afterwards to discuss ways of reversing this trend.

(I observed the opposite phenomenon when I was in New Zealand earlier this year; the markets there seem to be enormously popular.)
