Trinity, Frome

Today is my birthday and I've had a lovely day visiting Hidden Gardens and Open Studios, part of the Frome Festival. We started off with another visited to the Retreat, so that hubby could look at the Ian Marlow sculptures.

Afterwards we went to the Trinity area of Frome. Wikipedia says: The Trinity area, which was built in the latter half of the 17th century and first half of the 18th century, is a fine (and rare) example of early industrial housing. Over 300 houses were built between 1660 and 1756 in a very unusual early example of a planned grid-pattern. Although about half the area was demolished in the 1960s under a Slum Clearance Order, before its historical importance was realised, the remainder was saved and was restored. This house is in Trinity Row. Its lovely display of tubs and baskets caught my eye.

Chicken Chow Mein for dinner, then back to the Trinity area to see The Bad Detectives at the Griffin.
