Inset basking

Another day of mixed weather with heavy showers and short bursts of sunshine. My dilemma was having to chose between this insect and a rainbow shot! A lucky day for me as the sun came out for my lunchtime swim in the outdoor pool and for the dog walk. Most butterflies don't stay around when I get close with the camera so I am not convinced this is a butterfly. Ideas please?
