The Horticultural Summer Show

A lovely summers day. Mr H was on the golf course by 8.30am so after dropping younger son at the station to return home after a week of working for Dad, I walked down into town for some shopping. The day was perfect with strong sunshine and a light breeze and shopping done I bought an ice cream and walked along Marine Parade admiring the environmental works above Back beach and the relative quiet compared to the main beach area.

This afternoon we went to the Uplyme Horticultural Summer Show. Great displays of home produce, flowers, cakes and crafts. A true British village-summer-afternoon probably pretty much unchanged in 80 odd years ! It was very hot but began to cloud over and became very humid. We've been forecast a thunderstorm but we are still waiting !
