Hell on earth

A.K.A. Ikea.

I don't know whatever possessed us to think that going to ikea on a Saturday with a toddler would be ok? Obviously it wasn't at all. In fact it was stupidly stressful and half the stuff we went for we didn't even get and as always we came home with an abundance of tea candles and paper napkins that we don't even need.

We did however get Aura her bed which was the actual object of the exercise. Stu is finishing off the painting in her room as I blip. The shelfs and pictures all go up tomorrow and then after that its operation Aura sleeping in her new grown up bed and in her new bedroom. I have a feeling there may be some long evenings and disrupted nights ahead for us.

We did invest in two sun loungers today for the garden. A treat for ourselves. Not that I can see us getting to use them much as there is just so damn much still to do in this place. Anyway at least they'll be nice for visitors and next summer when hopefully we'll be all sorted by then!
