Cut comb honey

It's Mum's birthday today, so I ventured into one of the hives and brought out a frame of honey. I cut it into sections and gave one to Mum. Here's another. The dark spots are pollen (full of protein!). First of my bees' honey this year.

Beth brought round a swarm she had collected to add to the apiary. If these bees stay and have a queen, they'll be my sixth colony.
