On both sides
I saw this poster at the train station had to double look. Red Nose Day, wait, is it March again? No this says July?
After a quick search online, its shows that although they use the same name and iconic red nose, both Australia and UK have different reasons for Red Nose Day. In Aus, it began in 1988 to support families who had experienced the death of a baby from sudden infant death syndrome. (SIDS) Whereas in UK, it is a major telethon event that occurs in March which was founded in 1985 in response to famine in Ethiopia.
Both countries use the Red Nose, a sign of Comedic Relief and encouragement to help one another
