I have wanted to photograph an old building in a vast landscape. I saw several opportunities over the seven plus hour trip home from Gisborne today, but it just feels weird stopping the car on the motorway and trying to take a shot quickly. As the light was fading quickly, this was my last chance. It didn't come close to what I had imagined due to several factors:

1. Things look different from the roadside. Once you hike up to the desired location, things do not always appear to be as they seemed.

2. Not a wide enough lens. Although, 35mm wasn't too bad. It could have been worse.

3. The lighting wasn't great. That is half my own fault for not attempting something sooner in the day.

Better luck next time I suppose.
