Heron at Uppermill

Last night was so muggy. The heavy rain in the evening was a relief - it was much more comfortable this morning.

We drove over to Greenfield, parked the car up and walked along the canal bank for a couple of miles until we reached Uppermill. The weather was grey, but the temperatures have crept up again and my jacket was soon off. We had a good chat as we walked along, talking over future plans. I've really enjoyed the walks we've been on recently.

This heron was sat on the canal bank, in the garden of a beautiful house.
