Le Havre, rebuilt
A visit to Le Havre for the last day of our holidays. We discovered a lovely town, much of which was rebuilt after the bombardments during the war. Modern architecture; a famous Modern Art Museum (known as the MuMa) with a fabulous collection of Impressionist paintings; ic0nic apartment blocks; the Pont de Normandie but best of all the incredible Eglise Saint-Joseph. Designed like a lighthouse as a memorial to people of Le Havre who died during the war, the colours of the glass inside illuminate a beautiful place of worship.
