Teasels

1 up 2 down! I saw these on a walk this afternoon. I remember a few years ago when I had drawn the short straw regarding the provision of a meal at what is referred to as 'The Season That Shall Not Be Mentioned' (December 25) for those not of a similar persuasion. My sister had said that she expected some decorations and so Hamish and I went for a walk and collected all sorts of things which I came home and sprayed gold for a table display. Teasels were amongst the items chosen.

I had also been instructed that I should provide some decorations - so in all good humour I stuck some ivy to the beam over the fireplace together with a small note saying - 'please note house is decorated!'

Luckily it has not been my turn again but last year we decided to have a picnic on Porlock Hill which was great. We all provided something and shared. The only problem was that whilst it was lovely and bright it was about 5 degrees below freezing!

However it was most enjoyable and I think an experience to be repeated.

Funny what a few teasels bring to mind.......!
