The red MG midget

Harry from Beijing spotted this vintage MG Midget parked in Bridge-of-Allan and began taking photographs of it.

So I asked him he minded me taking a photo of him photographing it. (My years as a journalist come in handy- for I have no reservations about approaching total strangers).

Well, we got chatting, as one does, and discovered that he was on a week’s vacation to Britain re-visiting his old universities in England and Scotland. He did a post grad.in Business Studies at Stirling University and now works in the family business, a distillers, in Beijing.

We exchanged e-mails and promised to keep in touch. He flies back to Beijing tomorrow but first he was off to watch the World Cup.
