Stithians Reservoir

For years Ann has wanted to go to Stithians Reservoir and walk around it, but she’s never really known how to get there, or if indeed it was possible to walk the whole way round.

This morning she did a bit of ‘googling’ and then said, ‘Molly, how would you like to go for a long walk in a new place?’

Obviously I was at the front door before she had time to change her mind.

What a fabulous place. There’s a big water centre activity place, a café, a pub and there were people paddle boarding, kayaking, yachting, cycling etc. Can’t believe we’ve not been there before.

I love going for my walks in new places. It took us almost 2 hours to walk round the whole lake. And do you know what?........................... Apart from lots of people at the water centre place and loads of people on the water…………….. we only actually met one other couple who were walking around the whole lake. How weird is that???

The only downside to this walk were the signs saying doggies had to be kept on their leads and were not allowed to go swimming. Not sure why??? So Ann broke the rules!!!
