A Touch of Rio

My work team biannually organise a Fun Day primarily to give our employees a day to share their workplace with family, friends and neighbours. At the same time we take the opportunity to raise some money for charity.

This years theme was Brazil and we bought a touch of Rio ( including the sun) with lots of football related events and all the traditional stalls and games. The event has got bigger each time with the entertainment now spread throughout the site and factory.

It was a long tiring day but very rewarding. To see so many families and even ex colleagues have such a good time is always a delight but in addition we raised £3,500 for the Air Ambulance on the day and after some generous corporate donations I hope to increase that significantly.

It just about topped off an amazing, exhausting and exhilarating week to remember for a long time.

(By the way I didn't spend the whole day behind the beach shack cocktail bar looking at our carnival dancers !!! )
