A great day out at Highclere Castle - better known to most as Downton Abbey. There is no photography allowed inside the house, so only outdoor shots to choose from.

The gardens were glorious, especially the wildflower meadow seen in the foreground of this shot.

As well as being a privately owned stately home and the filming location of a major international franchise, Highclere is also renowned for its Egyptian exhibition, as the 5th Earl of Carnarvon was the person who, along with Howard Carter, discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun. Makes for a fascinating day out.
