Gardens at King John's House, Romsey

We had a quick tour round Romsey passing by King John's House where this shot of the gardens was taken. You can see Romsey Abbey in the background.

The Beggars Fair was taking place today but I had a more special event to go to. It was a 40 year university reunion in Southampton. Fortunately our botany group has met fairly frequently over the years so it wasn't a guess who everyone is and a great time was had eating, drinking and relaxing in the sun in a colleagues garden. Some of us then visited the university which we hadn't seen since 1974. Our main comments were on how mature the trees had become and 'can you remember when ....'
