Swaledale

Headed out for the day with 4 in the car and 2 bikes on the back, destination Reeth. Gorgeous drive to Gayle and Hawes where coffee and cake was taken in the sunshine.
Hubs rode up the Buttertubs which was on the TDF route and was OMG steep and sustained ( the new buzz word of cycling this holiday). I was driving the broom wagon/ director/ support vehicle and shouting Allez alllez allez at every opportunity..... Not entirely helpful I suspect :0)
We all stopped for a picnic lunch by the river at Gunnerside and after the poor man had carb loaded some more we both took a more genteel 10 mile ride to Reeth for a nights B&B in Arklegarthdale.
