Waipara Wine Trail

How often do you have to set an alarm to get up to drink wine(?!) Not often, or ever, in our case but we thoroughly enjoyed it!

The occasion was that we were booked onto a tour of the Waipara region vineyards leaving Christchurch at 9:30 am and with the first taster in hand by 10:15. On the tour we visited Pegasus Bay (whose cellar is pictured), Waipara Hills, Greystone, and Waipara Springs. We found Waipara Hills very commercial but enjoyed the others immensely.

After lunch and the purchase of a few bottles we were chauffeured home for a rather lazy afternoon :)
