Labyrinth no. 234

This is one of the London Underground artwork pieces celebrating 150 years of the Tube. This particular labyrinth was found at Knightsbridge.

Artist Mark Wallinger was commissioned to create a piece of artwork for every Tube stop and came up with the theme of labyrinths. He said it was like a commuter setting out on a journey and eventually making their way home again. Unlike a maze a labyrinth has just one route to the centre so it is interesting to see the link that each piece is unique representing the hundreds of different routes travellers can take when on the underground.

This is the first piece I have spotted and I am keen to find many more along my travels in the Tube.

Today I am grateful for a long day over and done with and a walk through the meadows before coming home to unwind in a house that is starting to feel a lot more like home thanks to my man.
