Good to be back

It has been a whirlwind the last few weeks. I am disappointed that I took a break from my daily blips, but I am feeling better about being able to focus on my photos.

I will give the very abbreviated version of our lives the last year. My husband was laid off from work last February and less than 2 months later I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. After 2 surgeries we got clear margins and the cancer was gone. The first round of chemo was awful and lasted 2 months. The next round was a little better and lasted 3 months - every Friday at the hospital was tough. Then a small break and radiation. That went from November 30th to January 14th. That was every day at MGH. I continued to work through my treatment and am so thankful for that.

I ended radiation just a week ago and have come down with an awful cold/sinus infection. Isn't that the way? I managed to get out this morning with Abby to take pictures at the old mill near our house. I drive by it every morning with the girls and have been looking forward to taking pictures there. I have a lot of photos from yesterday that I took. I will someday figure out how to put a link in here to my other photos on flickr!

Off to build puzzles with the girls!
