Today's the day .............................. for a Fête Nationale

As soon as I saw these in the Garden Centre at the weekend, I had to have them.

It's because they always remind me of the garden of our good friends, Marc and Marie-Claire, near Voiron in the south east of France. They have them growing there in all shades of pink and white.

We've been thinking about them - and France - a great deal recently, what with our daily dose of Le Tour. And I know that today, Bastille Day, is a national holiday in France. It's quite a special date today too being 14.07.14!

So this one is to say Bonsoir to Marc and Marie-Claire - and to wish them a very Bonne Fête Nationale ...........................
