Spent the morning building a "roundhouse" out of logs and ferns, followed by the building of kilns out of anything we could find. The theme for the residential is life 2000 years ago. Finally, after an active morning we took all the pupils to Whitby on the train where they were allowed a couple of hours free time. Teachers had a welcome break drinking real coffee and eating cake in a lovely cafe.
