The Old Bog Road

If I knew any geographers writing a book called Tradition and Modernity in the Irish Rural Landscape, I'd sell them this photo. Any takers?

Brisk walk up the bog road through the rain, after which I was rewarded with a bit of sun. It was nice to get some fresh air. Lovely drive to Trá an Dóilín in the afternoon, and a second helping of ice cream. I'm pleased to say that the garage in Spiddal has returned to its high ice cream standards after a bit of a slump in May.
